Couples Therapy

Therapy offers a space to look more clearly at what is happening in your relationship.

You may be caught in repeated arguments, emotional distance, loss of trust, or sexual difficulties. Sometimes there is only the feeling that you have become stuck with one another.

Relationships diversity

I welcome couples of different sexualities, gender identities, cultures, and relationship structures.

My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I work with people in both traditional and non-traditional relationships.

My approach with couples

Therapy can help couples understand the roots of their difficulties and find new ways of relating and loving.

I aim to create a space in which both people can speak, be heard, and be challenged. My role is not to decide who is right, nor to take sides. The work goes beyond resolving conflicts or improving communication. It is also about understanding the underlying patterns and gridlocks that shape the relationship, and about finding a common direction.

A relationship does not become stronger because two people agree on everything, continually reassure one another, or constantly compromise. Intimacy also involves being able to remain oneself in the presence of the other, and to tolerate friction without falling into conflict.
